PROCESSING TIME

All orders are processed within 3–5 business days of payment confirmation. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding Puerto Rico public holidays.

Orders placed on weekends or holidays will begin processing on the next available business day. A shipping confirmation with tracking details will be sent to you by email once your order has been dispatched.

During high-demand periods β€” new arrivals, restocks, or limited drops β€” processing may take slightly longer. We will always communicate any delays as promptly as possible.

SHIPPING RATES

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your destination, package weight, and selected shipping method. Rates are determined by the carrier and may vary.

VOL.109 reserves the right to adjust shipping options, carriers, and pricing structures at any time to better serve our customers. Any applicable promotions or offers with reduced or complimentary shipping will be clearly communicated at checkout or on the product page.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING

We currently ship to Puerto Rico and the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. Domestic shipments are sent via USPS or comparable carriers.

Estimated transit times for domestic orders typically range from 3–10 business days after shipment, depending on your location. Delivery estimates begin once your order has shipped, not from the date your order was placed. Actual transit times may vary based on carrier conditions and location.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

We currently ship to selected international destinations. Available countries are displayed at checkout. If your country is not listed, we are not yet able to fulfill orders to that region.

International transit times vary by destination and carrier, and typically range from 2–6 weeks. These are estimates only. VOL.109 is not responsible for transit times once a package has been dispatched from Puerto Rico.

Our international shipping availability may expand over time. Check back regularly as we continue to grow our reach.

CUSTOMS & DUTIES

International customers are solely responsible for any customs fees, import taxes, duties, brokerage fees, or additional local delivery charges assessed by their country's customs authority. These costs are not included in your order total at checkout and are non-refundable.

VOL.109 is not responsible for delays caused by customs inspections, holds, or clearance processes. We are legally required to accurately declare the full contents and value of all shipments on customs documentation. We are unable to mark packages as gifts or misrepresent declared values under any circumstances.

We recommend checking your country's import regulations before placing an order. Some printed materials, magazines, and collectible goods may be subject to specific duties or restrictions depending on the destination.

COLLECTIBLE & IMPORTED ITEMS

Many of the products carried by VOL.109 β€” including Japanese magazines, printed materials, and select collectible goods β€” are imported, vintage, out-of-print, or sourced as second-hand items. As such, they may show signs consistent with their age, origin, or handling prior to acquisition.

Minor shelf wear, corner wear, age-related marks, light surface scratches, or subtle packaging imperfections are considered part of the character of these items and do not qualify as damage. These characteristics will not be grounds for a return, refund, or exchange.

Where applicable, any significant condition notes will be disclosed on the product page. We encourage customers to read product descriptions carefully before purchasing.

PRE-ORDERS

Some items in our shop may be listed as pre-orders or made-to-order products. These items require additional processing time beyond our standard window, and estimated fulfillment timelines will always be clearly stated on the individual product page at the time of purchase.

By placing a pre-order, you acknowledge and accept the extended timeline associated with that item. Pre-orders are processed in the order they are received. We will communicate any changes to estimated timelines as soon as they become known.

SPLIT SHIPMENTS

When you order multiple items, they will ship together whenever possible. However, in some cases β€” such as when items are sourced from different locations, have different processing timelines, or when packaging requirements differ β€” your order may be split into separate shipments.

If your order ships in multiple packages, you will receive a tracking number for each shipment. There is no additional shipping charge to you when this occurs. Receiving one package before another is not an indication that part of your order is missing.

TRACKING

A tracking number will be sent to you by email once your order has been dispatched. You can use this number to monitor your shipment directly on the carrier's website.

Please allow 24–48 hours for tracking information to update after receiving your shipping confirmation. If you experience any issues with your tracking link or have not received a shipping confirmation within your processing window, please contact us and we'll look into it promptly.

INCORRECT ADDRESSES

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the shipping address entered at checkout is complete, accurate, and formatted correctly. VOL.109 is not liable for packages delivered to an incorrect address as a result of customer error.

If you notice an error in your shipping address, please contact us immediately after placing your order. Once a package has been dispatched, address corrections may no longer be possible. Any costs associated with re-routing, returning, or re-shipping a package due to an incorrect address will be the customer's responsibility.

LOST OR DELAYED PACKAGES

VOL.109 is not responsible for shipping delays, failed deliveries, or packages lost in transit due to circumstances outside our control β€” including but not limited to carrier handling, weather events, customs processing, natural disasters, holidays, or incorrect address information provided by the customer.

If your tracking information shows a package as delivered but you have not received it, we ask that you first contact the carrier directly to open a delivery investigation, and check with neighbors or your building's mail area.

We are happy to provide tracking details and assist with communications where possible, but delivery disputes are ultimately resolved through the carrier. If your package is officially declared lost and you opted into shipping protection at checkout, please initiate a claim through that service.
